SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 12, 2016 -- Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) (Nasdaq:MPWR), a leading company in high performance power solutions, announced today it has filed a lawsuit with the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware against Intersil Corporation (Intersil) (Nasdaq:ISIL) asserting that Intersil has unlawfully misappropriated MPS’s confidential information and then used that information to fabricate a web of falsehoods about the circuit design and operation of MPS products. Intersil improperly conveyed those falsehoods—as well as MPS’s misappropriated confidential information—to MPS customers and potential customers in an effort to induce them to use Intersil products instead of MPS products.
In the complaint, MPS seeks unspecified damages and a court-ordered injunction to prevent Intersil from continuing this conduct. Through this lawsuit, MPS intends to vigorously protect its trade secrets as well as defend its reputation from baseless smears about the operation of its products.
MPS has retained the law firm of Perkins Coie LLP to represent it in this lawsuit.
