Most of the regular primetime TV programs will not air this week including “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5. But teasers for the upcoming episodes are out now revealing the next cases coming up in the Big Easy.
When “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 returns next week with the 13th episode, fans can expect things to escalate from a kidnapping case to a potential bioterror threat. The official synopsis reveals that a new case begins when suspects raid a Navy research facility and kidnap one of the entomologists on duty.
The summary for “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 13 also describes the incident as a “deadly shooting.” But it appears that the attackers are actually going after one of the researchers who will end up abducted in the episode.
Aside from the abduction, “a rare and deadly virus” will be stolen in “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 13. This leads to the possibility that the endgame for the attackers is a wider bioterrorism threat.
In the following week, “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 brings back the conspiracy theory writer Oliver Crane (Mark Gessner). It can be recalled that Crane did not have a great reputation in the beginning as he almost got Pride (Scott Bakula) fired from NCIS for good. But he later proved to be a useful ally.
Crane will seemingly need Pride's help in “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 14 after one of his tipsters is murdered. The victim is Crane's source of information for his “latest vigilante story.”
Meanwhile, Hannah (Necar Zadegan) will be getting a case of her own in “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 14 after her former partner pays her a visit with a new lead on a previous case. This might also include some flashbacks to reveal more about Hannah's past.
No new episode of “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 aired this Tuesday to give way for the special coverage of the upcoming Super Bowl LIII. But the show returns to its regular schedule on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 10 p.m. ET on CBS with the airing of episode 13.
