Houston, TX, US, Feb. 15, 2018 -- Houston, Texas – February 12, 2018 – The International Association of Geophysical Contractor's (IAGC) 47th Annual Conference will feature top executives and experts in the oil and gas exploration industry. This year’s sessions focus on the conference theme "Leadership in Innovation. Insight for Energy" and will explore the geophysical industry's role within the larger energy sector in safely and responsibly meeting the world’s energy demand.

The conference will feature a provocative and informative discussion by top exploration executives. Stephen Greenlee (President, ExxonMobil Exploration), Robert “Bobby” Ryan (Vice President, Global Exploration Chevron Upstream), Erik Finnstrom (Senior Vice President Exploration Excellence, Statoil), Ron Neal (Co-Founder & Co-Owner, Houston Energy), Neil Piggott (Vice President of Exploration Global Strategy, Hess Corporation), Joseba Murillas (Executive Director of Global Exploration, Repsol), and Maurice Nessim (President, WesternGeco) and Nikki Martin (President, IAGC) as moderators will discuss key issues and challenges facing the oil and gas exploration sector and how to better use the opportunities.
A second panel featuring Deborah Byers (Americas Industry Leader & US Energy Leader, Ernst & Young), Gordon Ballard (Executive Director, International Association of Oil & Gas Producers – IOGP) and Dr. Scott Tinker (Director, Bureau of Economic Geology, UT Austin) will explore whether the oil and gas industry has an “identity crisis” and its role in better informing the public about the importance of oil and gas in our everyday lives.
Attendees will also hear several individual presentations, including Stephen Greenlee as the conference keynote speaker, as he talks about sustaining the exploration industry. President Commissioner of Mexico’s National Hydrocarbons Commission Juan Carlos Zepeda Molina will provide insights into the current energy landscape of Mexico and an outlook for the country's onshore and offshore exploration activities. Joe Balash, Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals, U.S. Department of the Interior will discuss the geophysical industry's role in the nation’s energy strategy.
