“One Punch Man” is an anime that made the entire industry shake with excitement due to the many outstanding epic battles that were showcased during the first season alone. The slick and flashy animation complemented the rough and heavy bouts that were featured. In “One Punch Man” Season 2, however, many of these scenes might be reserved for the side characters and the main villain.
As GameSpot noted on its list of most anticipated anime of 2019, “One Punch Man” Season 2 will be handled by a different animation studio. This means that there’s a chance for the upcoming season to be lower in quality compared to the previous one. Fans can only hope that this will not be the case and that J.C. Staff will be able to match or even surpass the anime’s first season.
In any case, “One Punch Man” Season 2 will focus largely on the threat that the Hero Hunter will pose with regards to the people he will target. His name is Garou and he used to be a disciple of Bang, who is one of the S-Class heroes. This makes him quite the strong warrior and it will show based on how many powerful victims he will take down.
This is where the issue might come in for “One Punch Man” Season 2. As it stands, there is absolutely no chance that Garou would pose a threat to Saitama. Even if all of the S-Class heroes teamed up, they would never be able to touch Caped Baldy. As such, the upcoming season’s most epic bouts will likely center on Genos and the other side characters.
“One Punch Man” Season 2 is set to premiere in April. There is currently no news as to what the exact date will be, but the wait won’t be for much longer.
