MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 19, 2018 -- Orbital Insight, the leader in geospatial analytics, today announced the opening of a sales office in Tokyo, Japan. The office will meet the growing demand for Orbital Insight’s products and services throughout the APAC region.
“Japan’s early adoption of innovative technologies and interest across industries in our geospatial analytics products makes it an ideal location for Orbital Insight,” said Chief Business Officer Kevin E. O’Brien.
Tokyo is a strategic choice for the company because of its role in global innovation. Orbital Insight’s products continue to see robust interest and adoption across the financial services, energy and insurance industries. APAC customers have started using geospatial analytics to serve a variety of business, environmental and humanitarian scenarios, including flood detection, commodities monitoring for oil, steel and coal, deforestation and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Orbital Insight’s connection with Japan started with Geodesic Capital and ITOCHU Corporation’s participation in its Series C financing round. In late 2017, Orbital Insight announced reseller partnership agreements with ABeam Consulting and ITOCHU and SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation.
