'Pokemon Go' Tips and Tricks: October Challenge Includes Hunting Shiny Krabby, Kingler! Find Out How

RaZzi/Youtube

October is finally here! For "Pokemon GO" players, it means more challenge and more new pokemons to catch!

Shiny Krabby is now available in "Pokemon GO" along with the October Field Research tasks, and Legendary Pokemon Suicune (catching this Pokemon could be challenging as this is a Breakthrough Research reward).

On "Pokemon GO," this shiny Pokemon is not great in battle. But for those who using PoGo, they may be eager to collect and catch as many shiny 'mon as possible.

Once the "Pokemon GO" October update has been live, it means that trainers can no longer catch the Legendary Pokemon Entei-it appeared during the update that brought brand new Field Research Quests.

Going back to "Pokemon GO" October Challenge, if you have successfully complete enough of these Shiny Krabby, you may earn yourself a Research Breakthrough and a crack at catching the Water-type Legendary beast, Suicune.

Apart from this Legendary Pokemon, the latest "Pokemon GO" Research Quests also offer players the chance to catch some very rare Pokemon, including a new variation for Pokemon GO's Spinda. According to a source, although these pokemons are taking the spotlight, there are players who are also searching for Shiny versions of some of Pokemon's most classic mascots because these can be quite hard to come by.

As of writing this article, no reports about ways to encounter Houndour in "Pokemon GO." However, there are many chances to catch a Shiny Krabby, which is also limited.

How to catch a Shiny Krabby in Pokemon Go?

Egg Hatches: According to another source, to be able to a Krabby in "Pokemon GO," players can hatch Krabby from 2KM eggs. Shiny odds are incredibly low, the source added. If your goal is to get many Krabby, put incubators on all your 2KM eggs in hopes of nabbing a shiny crab!

Raid Battles: There is a slim chance to get a Krabby in "Pokemon GO" Raid Battles. However, this may change in the weeks ahead.

In the Wild: You can encounter the Pokemon in the wild. But according to Silph Road research, there is about a 1/450 chance of encountering a Shiny in "Pokemon GO" Wild.

If you were able to get Shiny Krabby in "Pokemon GO," you will need 50 candy to evolve the Houndour into Houndoom.
