The return of the fashion program has been a hot topic for some time now but it seems “Project Runway” Season 17 really is about to become a reality. The series is coming back to Bravo and it will be run by the original company that made it possible, Magical Elves. Although there has been no air date revealed, a June 2019 premiere would not be farfetched.
Anyone who wants to keep updated on the developments of “Project Runway” Season 17 can check out the program’s Facebook page and other social media accounts. As for the actual details of the upcoming season, the last meaningful coverage of the development was by Variety back in June. That piece included interviews from Shari Levine, Bravo’s current production executive vice president.
“‘Project Runway’ has truly come full circle with the Magical Elves on board,” Levine said. “Jane Lipsitz and Dan Cutforth have been incredible producing partners with us through the years on multiple fronts. We blazed a trail with the first seasons of ‘Project Runway’ on Bravo, and now look forward to beginning the next evolution of the franchise with the team that was so instrumental in developing the format.”
As Otaku Art notes, the premiere date for “Project Runway” Season 17 has not been confirmed but it could be on June 2019. This means that fans will have to wait a while before they see models strutting down the catwalk to get the approval of the judges, once again.
It would also seem that Alyssa Milano will be a returning figure as the host of the show, while the mentor will be Zanna Roberts Rassi. Recurring judges will be Georgina Chapman and Isaac Mizrahi, who will regularly be joined by guest judges. The latter could include such names as Ke$ha, Boy George, and Debra Messing, making “Project Runway” Season 17 an exciting prospect.
