SPOKANE, Wash., Feb. 25, 2016 -- RLHC (Red Lion Hotels Corporation) (NYSE:RLH) announced today that the Company signed a franchise license agreement for a new Hotel RL, the Company's upscale brand, in one of Brooklyn’s fastest developing neighborhoods. The all-new Hotel RL Brooklyn Bed-Stuy, set to open in early 2017, is the ninth Hotel RL location announced since the brand launched just over a year ago.
"This will be a great addition to the Hotel RL collection. The cultural fabric of Brooklyn is closely aligned with the brand ethos of Hotel RL," said Brian Quinn, RLHC Senior Vice President and Chief Franchise Officer. "From The Living Stage to our custom coffee offerings, we anticipate this property to be a perfect fit for destination travelers and locals alike."
In addition to its current Hotel RL locations in Baltimore Inner Harbor and Washington, D.C., the Company announced a new build in Long Island City, franchise agreements for properties at the St. Louis Airport and College Station, Texas and three company-operated locations in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Spokane and Olympia, Washington.
The future Hotel RL Brooklyn Bed-Stuy will have 70 guest rooms and The Living Stage, exclusively at Hotel RL. The Living Stage presents new ideas through the lens of awareness, innovation and creativity by showcasing local entertainers and cultural presentations. The property is centrally located in the heart of Brooklyn, steps away from the subway and New York City’s local attractions.
