SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jan. 11, 2018 -- Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity company, today announced that it will host the Silicon Valley Automotive Open Source Meetup, “The Potential of Electric Vertical Takeoff-and-Landing Aircraft”, at its headquarters on Jan. 17 from 7-8:30 p.m. PT. Speakers will address key issues in the development of electric vertical takeoff-and-landing aircrafts. Dr. Stan Schneider, CEO at RTI, will present a company overview, including information on RTI’s mission as it relates to autonomous vehicles, recent successes in the market, as well as current projects and partnerships.
RTI provides the secure connectivity framework required to enable the most innovative and complex autonomous vehicles and transportation systems. RTI’s Connext® DDS software accelerates the design and development of autonomous systems by providing an efficient path from prototyping to production and safety certification. RTI's connectivity software provides a data-centric architecture that meets the demanding requirements of level 3 to level 5 automation, while also providing the flexibility of an established standard that can meet the wide ranging, and still developing, use cases of the industry.
Superior security, scalability, reliability and performance within these applications positions RTI as a key player in the autonomous car market, which has been the company’s fastest growing market. RTI has more than a dozen autonomous car customers who are beyond the research stage and entering final proof-of-concept or full production-track status, including customers who are working to build electric take-off and landing vehicles (eVTOL).
RTI was recently named an AUTOSAR development partner for the company’s industry leading work with automotive customers. As a development partner, RTI is working to promote and integrate the world’s largest standardized automotive architecture.
