CHICAGO, March 07, 2018 -- RedSky Technologies, Inc., the leader in E911 solutions announced today that the RedSky Horizon Mobility™ Enhanced 911 service is available for Polycom phones on the BroadWorks® platform.
“Horizon Mobility™ brings a complete cloud-based E911 solution to the BroadWorks® platform allowing us to Find, Route and Notify on any 9-1-1 call made on a Polycom phone in the enterprise,” said Jason Forehand, VP of Products at RedSky Technologies, Inc. “Horizon Mobility™ can revolutionize the way carriers offer Unified Communications as a Service and how enterprises manage location for 9-1-1.
Horizon Mobility™ is a patent pending implementation of the Next Generation i3 9-1-1 standards. Horizon Mobility™ is a cloud service which automatically tracks the location of a phone, provides the phone with a location object and then routes a 9-1-1 call based on the location object. Additionally, Horizon Mobility™ improves emergency response time by sending 9-1-1 call notifications to security guards and mobile response teams notifying them of the precise location of a 9-1-1 caller.
Horizon Mobility™ works with Polycom’s VVX line of handsets (software release v. 5.7 and later) and has been interoperability tested with BroadWorks® v. 21 and 22.
Service Providers that use BroadSoft platforms for their core voice offerings should contact Ken Rosko, [email protected], Channel Director at RedSky, for more information on the Horizon Mobility™ cloud service.
