Fort Lauderdale, FL, Dec. 28, 2017 -- SanSal Wellness Holdings, Inc. (“SanSal Wellness” or the “Company”) (OTC PINK: SSWH), a vertically-integrated agribusiness focused on producing full spectrum natural phytocannabinoid-rich industrial hemp extracts, today announced it has identified two proprietary ultra-high yield industrial hemp strains at its 140-acre farm and processing facility in Pueblo, Colorado.
“As a direct result of our proprietary strain selection process and through close monitoring and testing, we have identified two specific strains of industrial hemp from our last year’s annual outdoor harvest that produced a substantially higher yield of oil though the extraction methods, as well as a higher concentration of phytocannabinoids,” commented Rianna Meyer, Vice President of Operations at SanSal Wellness. “By focusing on plant quality with these and other potential ultra-high yield industrial hemp phenotypes, we anticipate higher overall yields than previously expected and significant production efficiencies which should directly impact our bottom line.”
As previously announced, the SanSal Wellness 2017 outdoor summer hemp harvest produced substantially more phytocannabinoid-rich hemp over the previous year. In addition to the large increase in harvest volume, SanSal’s industrial hemp crop yielded substantially more hemp oil containing higher levels of phytocannabinoids than the previous harvest.
Alexander M. Salgado, CEO and co-founder of SanSal Wellness, concluded, “We are constantly looking for and evaluating opportunities like this to maximize production efficiencies and improve our operations in every way. By identifying and planting only the most productive industrial hemp strains, we can continue to produce the very best finished products and further accelerate our growth plans.”
