MADISON, Wis., Dec. 29, 2017 -- Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), the trusted global leader for video creation and management solutions, today filed SEC Form 12-b-25, to provide for additional time to file its Form 10-K for its 2017 fiscal year ended September 30. As previously disclosed, the company has delayed the filing of its Form 10-K due to accounting issues related to certain goodwill and other intangible assets on the balance sheet which remain under review.

The company expects to file the annual report on or before the fifteenth calendar day following the prescribed due date as permitted by Rule 12b-25, and additionally will schedule its quarterly investor update and issue its fiscal fourth quarter and 2017 release as soon as is practical, within this time frame.
