ANNAPOLIS, Md., Jan. 09, 2018 -- South River Technologies, Inc. (SRT) today announced that Cornerstone MFT is now available under a Bring Your Own License (BYOL) model in Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace. This new development comes as a result of the growing interest in Azure for enterprise users.
Organizations are increasingly adopting Microsoft tools such as SharePoint (recently ranked the top platform for enterprise collaboration), Office 365, and Outlook, so investing in a cloud platform that easily integrates with Microsoft products is a logical choice for many businesses.
“We’ve seen our Amazon-based cloud offerings grow significantly over the past year, while also seeing increased demand for our solutions on other cloud platforms,” says Michael Ryan, CEO of SRT. “The availability of Cornerstone in the Azure Marketplace gives our customers the greatest flexibility.”
Customers who purchase this license type benefit from speed of deployment and scalability, as well as significant cost savings. There is no need for time-consuming operating system upgrades, and no need to worry about server lifespan and related future expenses. Statistics show that it costs 200% more to support a server that is 5 years old or older, and most servers realistically have a 3-5 year lifespan. Additionally, new server hardware can cost between six thousand and 10 thousand dollars per machine. Cornerstone MFT’s BYOL options reduce this cost significantly.
Further, large companies often have to procure additional hardware to accommodate peak loads and their “busy season,” but this is typically more hardware than they need throughout the rest of the year. Cloud platforms offer the elasticity to expand and contract as customers’ needs demand. Cornerstone MFT in Azure is fully scalable, and businesses pay only for the resources used.
