“Steven Universe” Season 6 is now being speculated by the series’ fan base given that the fifth installment recently dropped its massive finale. There was a lot to take in from the final episode with Steven finally managing to get through to White Diamond.
There is still no news confirming a “Steven Universe” Season 6 and Cartoon Network is remaining mum about the matter. There’s also the fact that the latest finale ended on a pretty satisfying note. Steven has finally managed to make his family whole, with all the sisters traveling to different worlds to broaden their perspectives and fix what they had done.
However, the premiere date of “Steven Universe” Season 6 has made its way into IMDb. What’s more, the website claims that it will drop sometime around 2019, Express reported.
There’s also the short statement from show writer Matt Burnett. When a fan asked, “Is this the last episode?” Burnett answered, “Of the season.” While the answer is pretty vague, it also hints at the possibility of a “Steven Universe” Season 6. The wrinkle on this is Burnett is now a former writer of the series after his show, “Craig of the Creek,” has been greenlit by Cartoon Network.
As for the plot of “Steven Universe” Season 6, it’s difficult even to speculate what will happen given how the finale ended. There were a lot of epic moments to be discussed in that release. From the fusion that resulted in Obsidian to the “pure” Steven defying White, and White herself realizing her flaws.
If a “Steven Universe” Season 6 does happen, the story could very much pick up from the events that will take place in the upcoming movie. The film is scheduled to drop in the fall and if there are new developments in its plotline, it could set up a possible sixth installment, Den of Geek reported.
