Now that the first half of “Suits” Season 8 is over, the narrative has now shifted to the remaining six episodes. The finale of the latest installment saw Louis (Rick Hoffman) finally become the head of the firm, something that he has been working hard since the beginning.
However, the promotion comes amidst another responsibility and milestone of the character: He’s going to be a father. The remaining episodes of “Suits” Season 8 will have both of these obligations weighed on Louis and it will be interesting how it will affect his storyline moving forward.
While there is still a lot of development that can be expanded in the plot and characters, it seems that “Suits” Season 8 is getting closer to the legal drama’s official ending. At least that’s what audiences assume based on showrunner Aaron Korsh’s tweets in the past few days, Carter Matt reported.
However, Korsh did address this misunderstanding and clarified that while “Suits” Season 8 is indeed inching towards the show’s conclusion, it does not necessarily mean it’s near. The legal drama has been doing quite well in ratings, with its storyline nicely flowing at a gripping pace, especially now that Louis is in charge.
Will there be resistance to the firm’s new head? Korsh said that the process will be “two steps forward, one step backward.” The showrunner added that the first two episodes of the second half of “Suits” Season 8 will be focusing on this very front, with Harvey (Gabriel Macht), Zane (Wendell Pierce), and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) being heavily featured.
On the other side of the pond, Alex (Dule Hill) and Samantha (Katherine Heigl) are also going to be undergoing some changes of their own as both characters have been named the firm’s partner. Korsh said that there will be little tension between the pair, although some resistance should be expected. “Suits” Season 8 will be returning in 2019, although no official release date has been announced by USA Network. However, judging by how the previous installments were handled, fans can expect it to return in March 2019.
