'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Episode 13 Recap: Carol is changing

Another perplexing episode was presented to us by the hit TV series ‘The Walking Dead’ last night. If you have seen it then you certainly know what we are talking about especially when we saw the change in Carol’s behaviour. So here is a recap of this week’s episode and if you haven’t watched the episode yet, then beware because spoilers are lurking in this article.

We are pretty sure that everyone will attest to how the episode was intense and frustrating at the same time. Last week’s episode we saw how Maggie and Carol were taken by the Saviours led by a woman named Polly, played by Alicia Witt. Polly is a tough woman, who wouldn’t think twice of killing a living human if she wants to and everyone is worried for Maggie and Carol.

Fans were expecting that Carol’s survival instincts would kick in and escape their way out but last night’s episode showed the exact opposite of Carol. Carol flinched when being pursued by one of the Survivors. Overcome with anxiety and guilt, she didn’t shoot to kill when she had the chance and instead only tried to wound one of her attackers.

This is when we see Carol further doubt her role in the grand scheme of things. She seems to be unwilling to kill other people and she hesitates more than once. She panics and she recovers.

It’s a weird episode because Maggie becomes Carol and Carol becomes Morgan over the course of events. Maggie becomes a stone-cold killer filled with determination; Carol is filled only with doubt.

Maggie, on the other hand, developed her motherly instincts and insisted on finishing off the Saviors—though they both lured Polly’s allies into the “Killing Floor” and set the room on fire, burning their enemies to a crisp. Everyone was worried though about the baby and thought that Maggie might lose it. Good thing she didn’t.

Meanwhile, we saw Morgan in tonight’s episode and finally saw how wrong Rick’s decision was. Rick carelessly led his people into an assault on a base they’d never scouted. He never bothered to discover whether the enemy had multiple bases, or scouting parties, or who Negan actually was.

Of the many intense scenes in the episode, what was your favourite? Comment them below.
