MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 26, 2016 -- Vital Images, Inc. (Vital) a leading provider of enterprise imaging solutions, is bringing its comprehensive diagnostic and clinical viewing tools to Nuance Communications Inc.’s (NASDAQ:NUAN) PowerShare solutions, providing a seamless workflow to their customers.
With the integration, Nuance customers will have access to VitreaView®, Vital's zero-footprint Web-based diagnostic quality universal viewer. The integrated solution will allow customers using PowerShare to seamlessly launch into the viewer as part of their image sharing workflows and review diagnostic quality images, without requiring any downloads or installations such as Adobe Flash, Java Plug-ins or Active X Controls.
“Unlike many other solutions, the VitreaView universal viewer runs entirely in users’ existing Web browsers and thus requires no deployment. This means no frustrations with constant patches or security updates to keep users’ capabilities optimized. Our customers expect the best viewing experiences including ease of use, powerful interfaces and exceptional diagnostic image quality. We are pleased to expand the viewing capabilities in Nuance PowerShare with Vital’s universal viewer,” said Jim Litterer, President and CEO at Vital.
“Our clients look to Nuance for best-in-class clinical solutions that are redefining the way healthcare providers share and collaborate using patient data,” said Karen Holzberger, Vice President and General Manager, Diagnostic Solutions, Nuance. “We have an incredible community of clinicians using our diagnostic solutions, and we’re excited to deliver VitreaView solutions as an option to support their image viewing needs.”
"Powerful, easy to use image viewing capabilities with powerful image sharing, all making patient healthcare more accessible and more efficient – this is the future of healthcare and we are excited to work with Nuance in making all that and more possible,” Dr. Paul A. Markham, Vice President, Marketing for Vital.
