Will Timothy McGee's sister make an appearance again on 'NCIS'

Remember Sarah McGee, the sister of Timothy McGee, the character portrayed by Sean Murray.

If you are not a hardcore fan of NCIS, you may not recall Sarah as the last time she was seen on the police drama series was 15 years ago in 2006.

It is typical of NCIS to focus on the other aspects of its characters’ lives thus we get to see their families.

However, we don't see them often either because NCIS characters are also focused on their jobs which means their families get left behind.

This could be one reason or it could be that there is also Timothy's paraplegic wife Delilah and his kids.

Or, perhaps we are no longer seeing Sarah because of the actor who portrayed her. Back in 2006, Sarah McGee's role was played by Troian Bellisario.

Perhaps only a few would not know that Troian had portrayed the role of Spencer Hastings in the highly popular Pretty Little Liars which aired its very first episode in 2010.

When Troian appeared on NCIS, she had more links to the show than just being a guest.

She is the daughter of of none other than the original creator of the NCIS, Donald P. Bellisario.

And, Donald Bellisario is also the step father of Sean Murray. Thus, Troian and Sean were not only related on-cam, but also off-cam.

Troian has come a long way now from when she last appeared on NCIS and it would be nice to see her again as Sarah McGee. It most definitely will not be happening in the upcoming 18th season but perhaps someday.

What we could look forward to, however, would be another appearance of Cote de Pablo's Ziva David. Fans were heartbroken when she left the show in 2013's season 11 and shocked fans when she returned in the finale of season 16. And, her few appearances in season 17 were perhaps not enough. But, we will have to wait and see if we will get to see her more often in the upcoming season.
