Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands, Nov. 10, 2016 -- Wolters Kluwer today reported that it has repurchased 377,871 of its own ordinary shares in the period from November 3, 2016 through November 9, 2016 for €12.4 million in total and at an average share price of €32.86.
These share repurchases are part of the three-year (2016-2018), up to €600 million buyback program announced on February 24, 2016. The total number of shares repurchased under the €600 million buyback program to date is 3.3 million shares for a total consideration of €117 million.
Wolters Kluwer has committed itself to the repurchase of ordinary shares for a maximum total consideration of €95 million in the period November 3, 2016 up to and including December 30, 2016, for capital reduction purposes or to meet obligations arising from share based incentive plans, within the limits of relevant laws and regulations and Wolters Kluwer's Articles of Association.
