SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 11, 2017 -- Zephyr Real Estate’s annual themed calendar is now available. Each year’s theme has featured a unique angle of San Francisco, and Zephyr has traditionally included a charitable donation to organizations connected to the calendar. This year, Zephyr partnered with ArtSpan to feature local art and artists to create “Strokes of Genius.”

ArtSpan is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to develop a world-class art community in San Francisco. ArtSpan is in its 42nd year and is the oldest open-studios program in the country, displaying art from over 800 artists. ArtSpan also offers a special program for artists under the age of 18, Youth Open Studios.
“We see this partnership as a great opportunity for ArtSpan artists to get their work seen by a new population of San Francisco homeowners – particularly those in need of artwork for their new walls. ArtSpan artists come from a variety of backgrounds, with a wide range of mediums and themes,” commented Joen Madonna, Executive Director of ArtSpan. “We hope that this will encourage new residents and homebuyers to purchase locally when seeking artwork, and will act as a guide to finding local artwork to match their new home decor.”
Past year’s calendars have featured movies set in San Francisco (Cinematic San Francisco), famous stairways and slides (Chutes and Ladders), and historic pubs and bars (San Francisco After Dark). These, as well as all the others, are quite collectible and reveal some of the City’s best-kept secrets.
“Our ArtSpan partnership has been a great experience, and supporting local artists is an added benefit,” commented Melody Foster, Vice President of Marketing. “This edition is truly a collectible, and worth hanging onto long after the year has ended.”
