MEDYS (Mediterranean Yacht Show)

Where: Nafplion, Greece

The Greeks have always had a love of the sea and of boating of any kind. So what better country to host an international yachting event? And the Mediterranean Yacht Show is one of the highlights of the 2022 maritime calendar.

The Mediterranean Yacht Show will be showcasing another fleet of yachts available for Greece yacht charters to the Nafplion harbor this year. After two years of cancellations, Nafplion will play host to this maritime industry-focused event aimed at yacht brokers and industry professionals.

MEDYS is organized by the Greek Yachting Association and offers yacht brokers the opportunity to source first-hand information about yachts based in the East Mediterranean. Yacht tours will be offered daily, with the opportunity to meet the captains and crew.

A variety of exciting exhibits will line the harbor boardwalks, highlighting marine-related products and services. For a further taste of fun, yacht chefs will compete against each other in the Chef’s Competition.

In recognition of the best superyachts to have set sail over the past year, the 17th annual World Superyacht Awards returns to London. Here, in association with AKYACHT, superyacht owners, as well as yacht builders and designers, will celebrate at a gala ceremony.

To honor the craftsmanship and design of these awesome floating structures, 15 Neptune trophies will be awarded. And unlike other yacht awards shows, the judging panel consists of current and former superyacht owners who know exactly what to look for.

Since its debut in 2011, the Singapore Yacht Show has established itself as Asia's leading yacht and show. It has the full support of the Singapore Tourism Board and has become one of the highlights of the international yachting industry.

While in Singapore, you’ll be spoilt for choice with all the wonderful attractions. But for a truly mesmerizing experience, a day trip to the Cloud Forest in the Gardens by the Bay would not be amiss. They are open to the public from 9.00 am – 9.00 pm daily, and admission starts at $8.00.

Sydney International Boat Show

Where: Sydney, Australia

The Boating Industry Association, in association with Mulpha Events, will host the 53rd edition of the Sydney International Boat Show at the Darling Harbour in Sydney.

Since its inception in 1968, The Sydney International Boat Show has grown, and today it boasts the largest number of visitors to the boat shows in Australia.

It is located at Darling Harbor and occupies 6 exhibition halls. A specially built extension to the existing marina, in Cockle Bay, has been incorporated into the event. You can reach the exhibition halls with a short two-minute walk from the marina.

The Sydney International boat show is one of the most prestigious marine events on the calendar, and not to be missed. Featuring over 240 exhibitors, 900 boats, and non-stop premium entertainment, you won’t want the show to end.

Of course, no visit trip to Sydney would be complete without a visit to the Sydney Opera House. The highly-anticipated production of The Phantom of The Opera will be opening at the Sydney Opera House in August 2022.

Monaco Yacht Show

Where: Port Hercule, Monte Carlo, Monaco

Renowned for showcasing the most prestigious superyachts on the market, the Monaco Yacht Show is the premium yacht show offering yachts for sale in the Mediterranean. This annual premier event was founded in 1991, and now draws crowds of up to 30 000, of which 87% are international visitors.

A third of the yachts exhibited at each annual Monaco Yacht Show comprises the latest state-of-the-art models making their debut. The show also features an inaugural gala to welcome 350 new members to the yachting elite crowd.

Six hundred major companies in the industry are exhibited at this event, with 125 luxury superyachts on display. Discover the latest hi-tech products and services during this four-day show.

More than 80 events are on offer in Monte-Carlo’s top luxury hotels, onboard yachts. For the first time, the Yacht Club’s new building will be hosting exhibitions as well.

Abu Dhabi International Boat Show

Where: Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre - Abu Dhabi, UAE

This unique boating show caters to all marine industry professionals, but also offers the whole family the opportunity to learn about and experience various watersports. Open from 04:00 pm - 11:00 pm daily, the organizers expect to see a turnout of over 500 visitors and perhaps as many as 20 000.

This premier boating event, organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company with support from government agencies, promotes brands to government buyers and yachting enthusiasts.

Looking for some more sporting fun during your visit to Abu Dhabi? It will also be host to two NBA preseason games in October 2022. These will be the first-ever preseason games in the Gulf region.

There will be exciting, interactive fan events headlined by current and former NBA players, and several events focusing on health and wellness.

Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

The Fort Lauderdale area has more than 300 miles of waterways, so it’s no wonder that it has become a boating paradise. And later this year it truly comes to life with the Fort Lauderdale International Boat show, where exhibits range from yacht building and design to exotic cars.

More international and U.S. yacht debuts take place at this five-day event than at any other boat show in the US. Countless sea vessels will be on display. Cabin cruisers, express cruisers, sailing yachts, catamarans, motorboats, ski boats, jet boats, superyachts, and everything in between will be on show.

Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a charming little beach town on the outskirts of Fort Lauderdale. It has a lovely beach and is also one of the most active sea turtle nesting sites in the world. Another bonus is that the stunning coral reef is only 300 ft from the shore.
