Short-position liquidations dwarfed long-position liquidations during the latest measured hour, as Hyperliquid (HYPE) added 4.96% on Binance by the Wednesday 10:10 a.m. ET (15:10 UTC) snapshot.

At the Wednesday snapshot, Binance's HYPE/USDT spot quote was $88.48; the 9:10 a.m. ET quote was $84.30. That $4.18 gap equaled 4.96%, and HYPE's 24-hour gain at 10:10 a.m. ET was 2.21%.

Short positions accounted for $1.41 million of the hour's liquidation value on Binance, Bybit and OKX; long positions accounted for $140,000. The difference was $1.27 million, leaving the short-position tally at roughly 10.1 times the long side.

As of 15:22 UTC, CoinGecko and exchange spot data put HYPE at $87.42, up 1.13% over 24 hours. An earlier HYPE market update covered a separate snapshot with a 2.06% hourly gain and $40,000 in short liquidations across the same exchanges.
