Indian equities showed wide differences in performance as an ACE Equity screen published by The Economic Times on Nov. 4 listed 12 BSE 500 stocks up at least 25% over roughly three months.
Welspun Living led the reported gains at 64%, followed by Ather Energy at 41% and Welspun Corp at 36%. The screen did not specify the exact dates, trading venue or price cutoff used to calculate the stock returns.
Separately, ArthaNiti calculated a 5.0% decline in the BSE 500 from Aug. 6 through Nov. 3, 2026, using closing values in India Standard Time. That window may differ from the one used for the stock gains. BSE Index Services describes the BSE 500 as representing companies across India’s major industries.
The Economic Times screen put PVR Inox, PTC Industries and Cyient at 33% each. Multi Commodity Exchange of India followed at 32%, Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts at 30%, Laurus Labs at 28% and Engineers India at 27%. Acutaas Chemicals and One 97 Communications each had a reported gain of 25%.
Laurus Labs also led an earlier five-session BSE 500 gainers screen, with a reported 21% rise through Oct. 30, according to ETMarkets.com. That screen covered a different period.
Company filings provide financial context for the three stocks at the top of the new list. Welspun Living reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹2,838.12 crore for the quarter ended Sept. 30, up from ₹2,440.91 crore a year earlier. Net profit rose to ₹169.66 crore from ₹14.86 crore.
For the same quarter, Ather Energy reported ₹1,464.24 crore in revenue from operations and a ₹1.26 crore profit in its consolidated filing. Welspun Corp reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹4,643.72 crore and total profit of ₹495.09 crore. Those quarterly results do not establish what drove the reported share gains.
