Vancouver, B.C., April 13, 2018 --
ACL, a prominent Vancouver tech company has, for the fourth year in a row, been given the honor of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employer. The editorial competition, published by The Globe and Mail, recognizes the nation’s best SME workplaces in the country.
“We’re grateful to be recognized as one of the country’s top employers for the fourth time this year, an accolade that validates our efforts in the development of an inclusive company culture,” said Laurie Schultz, CEO of ACL. “Our priority is as much serving our clients as it is building environment for our employees to grow and achieve their goals through purposeful, meaningful work.”
The annual competition selects 100 winners across Canada based on a mix of criteria ranging from work atmosphere and physical workplace to vacation, training, and skills development and community involvement. ACL, which specializes in governance and risk management software, accredits its recent acknowledgments as a top employer to their robust workplace culture including mentorship programs, leadership training, maternity and paternity leave, and the creative open workspace for employees to operate.
“The things that make work meaningful for our employees go far beyond craft beer on tap or nap pods, although we do have those,” said Kathy Enros, vice president of talent, ACL. “We invest heavily in our talent through training and recognition programs, RRSP matching, and community outreach programs, which all serve to create an environment where employees can prosper. But what makes the biggest difference for our employees is being able to contribute to impactful work that’s making a positive difference in the community and world.”
ACL continues to reach milestones and earlier this year they secured a $50 million strategic investment from Norwest out of Silicon Valley. Their operations will continue to scale so they can deliver the best product for their clients and continue to create a nurturing environment for their employees.
