NEW YORK, March 13, 2017 -- Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, reminds purchasers of Psychemedics Corporation securities (NASDAQ:PMD) from February 28, 2014 through January 30, 2017, inclusive (the “Class Period”) of the important April 3, 2017 lead plaintiff deadline in the class action. The lawsuit seeks to recover damages for Psychemedics investors under the federal securities laws.

According to the lawsuit, throughout the Class Period Defendants made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) through its affiliate Psychemedics Brasil Exames Toxicologicos Ltda., Psychemedics engaged in anticompetitive conduct to maintain a monopoly over the Brazilian market in violation of the law; (2) in turn, Psychemedics lacked effective internal controls over financial reporting; and (3) as a result, Psychemedics’ public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.
A class action lawsuit has already been filed. If you wish to serve as lead plaintiff, you must move the Court no later than April 3, 2017. A lead plaintiff is a representative party acting on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation.
