A memo attributed to Imo State Gov. Hope Uzodimma says the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council is scheduled to review President Bola Tinubu’s re-election calendar Tuesday before its formal Kaduna launch.
Leadership published text it identified as the Oct. 18 memo, while Premium Times separately reported its contents. The notice names Uzodimma as council secretary and sets the Abuja meeting for 9 a.m. ET (13:00 UTC).
Under the reported agenda, council members would consider adopting a campaign calendar and discuss preparations for Kaduna. The memo limits invitations to 134 listed people and calls for directors and directorate secretaries to attend.
Tinubu inaugurated the council Oct. 14 at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja, the State House said. He said the council would lead campaign activity nationwide as he continued governing. The State House named former Zamfara State Gov. Abdulaziz Yari as director-general.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) lists Jan. 16, 2027, for the presidential and National Assembly elections. The council’s campaign website lists Oct. 24 for the planned formal launch in Kaduna.
