EDMONTON, Alberta, Feb. 20, 2018 -- EPCOR Utilities Inc. (EPCOR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Krause to its Board of Directors.
“Mr. Krause is a widely respected business leader and innovator, whose teams have applied unique, sustainable solutions to some of the world’s most complex water infrastructure projects. This impressive background combined with a commitment to protecting and developing our water resource in a responsible manner, make him an excellent addition to our Board,” said Hugh J. Mr. Krause was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MWH Global until 2016. Prior to this, he held several key executive positions within MWH Global including President & Chief Operating Officer and President of the company’s natural resources, industry and infrastructure section. MWH Global joined Stantec in 2016, at which time Alan became President, Global until retiring from the organization in November, 2017.
Mr. Krause earned a master’s degree in geological engineering from the University of Nevada Mackay School of Mines. He has completed the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School, and is a member and distinguished engineer for the Pan American Academy of Engineering. In 2015, Mr. Krause was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to represent the consulting and engineering segment of the U.S. environmental technology sector on the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee.
