COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Feb. 22, 2018 -- Insurance Technologies, LLC, a provider of sales and regulatory automation solutions for the insurance and financial services industries, announced today that Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. has expanded its FireLight® environment to provide its field partners with a wizard-type e-application experience. This alternative sales capability simplifies and expedites the application process for Ameritas field partners and their clients.
“At Ameritas, collaborating with our field partners to continually improve the customer experience is very important,” said Steve Valerius, president of the Ameritas individual division. “FireLight helps us deliver on that commitment.”
Ameritas used the flexibility and the robust self-administration tools within FireLight to design and implement a wizard-type experience that guides its field partners through a minimalist and logical application process. Responsive questioning dynamically adds required questions and avoids unnecessary application elements, providing an intuitive, subsequent step application experience. Data captured through the wizard experience auto-fills the state-filed application behind the scenes. Once the application reaches 100 percent in good order, field partners can quickly capture required e-signatures and submit a comprehensive package electronically, thus reducing turnaround time.
“I am enjoying the wizard format as it breaks everything up into simple sections, making it easy to navigate and complete applications,” said Maria Capista, Walsh and Nicholson Financial Group. “The annotation function is a big plus. This format is a great way to obtain any missing information prior to having the client sign the application.”
Ameritas initially implemented the wizard application experience for its new term life insurance product. It plans to expand this user experience in FireLight to the rest of its life insurance products as well as its disability income insurance product.
“Many firms are moving to a fully digital workflow, and they are leveraging FireLight to execute on these strategic initiatives. It is exciting to see clients like Ameritas use the features and administration capabilities of FireLight to create their own application and user experiences that align with their digital strategies,” said Katherine Dease, vice president of product management, Insurance Technologies. “Gone are the days where a firm is forced to use a “one-size-fits-all” user experience. As agent, consumer and sales expectations continue to evolve, the tools and system flexibility to be creative and design unique sales experiences and workflows will be even more important. We are pleased that FireLight fosters this flexibility for firms.”
In addition to the wizard user experience, Ameritas has recently implemented FireLight offline capabilities, built-in e-Signature and Redtail CRM integration, further providing its field partners with the comprehensive tools to conduct business, improve service time and enhance the client engagement and customer service they provide throughout the sales journey.
