A reported second wave of U.S. Air Force cargo flights to southern Israel may point to another Patriot battery, Anadolu Agency said, while the deployment itself remains unconfirmed.
In its Nov. 3 report, Anadolu said open-source flight trackers recorded at least six C-17A Globemaster III aircraft on a route connecting Biggs Army Airfield at Fort Bliss, Texas, with Ovda Air Base in southern Israel. The outlet identified the group as a second wave of U.S. Air Force movements.
An earlier group of eight C-17 flights had reached Ovda the previous week, Anadolu reported. If the newer group completed its journey, the agency expected the reported total to reach 16; that was a projection, not a confirmed count of arrivals.
Anadolu said the flight activity could point to an additional Patriot air-defense battery in Israel. It did not independently confirm that a complete battery had been deployed, so the flights remain an indication rather than confirmation of deployment.
