Angelina Jolie has long been separated from Brad Pitt although their divorce was only finalized late last year. Since they are now both single again, there were rumors that the “Maleficent” actress is in a relationship with Johnny Depp.
The affair of the pirate and “Maleficent”
But then, this is actually an affair since the report stated that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor got involved with Angelina Jolie when he was still married to Amber Heard. This rumor appeared as a cover story in this week’s issue of Star Magazine.
The story was titled “Johnny Cheated with Angie!” and a picture of Angelina Jolie was inserted on the front cover. It was said that although the title clearly stated that Johnny and Angelina Jolie had an affair, the narrative that can be found inside barely mentioned the name of Brad Pitt’s ex-wife.
Rather, the topic was mainly on Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s domestic violence case. The only part that Angelina Jolie was mentioned was when her photo with Johnny Depp, while they were promoting “The Tourist,” was posted. Under the image, there was a question that reads: “The Other Woman?”
The truth
Gossip Cop pointed out that this rumor about Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp is false. The magazine only posted their photo and wrote a clickbaity title so people will read the magazine. There was no affair and the two are just friends who worked together on a film.
Also, the fact-checking site contacted some close to Angelina Jolie who confirmed that there is no truth in the claim. This is also not the first time that Star Magazine has published malicious reports about Jolie. Over the years, it has already written many articles about her relationship with her ex-husband Brad Pitt and all of them were proven to be made up.
Once, it wrote that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were feuding after the latter wants to take their kids with him during the quarantine. Other times, the actress was said to be interested on Keanu Reeves and a few more hunky actors but these are all false as the actress already said that her focus these days is on her children alone.
