“Anne With an E” Season 3 is expected to impress its audiences once again similar to what the two previous entries did. While the series has been made for Canadian audiences, it has since garnered global popularity due to its remarkable portrayal of significant themes that resonate well with our current society.
So far, the adaptation has been faithful with its source material and is one of the major reasons why the series is seeing much success. In “Anne With an E” Season 3, the showrunners are expected to follow this formula, What’s On Netflix reported.
Anne (Amybeth McNulty) will be turning 16 years old in the upcoming installment, and the story will revolve around the complications that the age brings. As such, “Anne With an E” Season 3 will likely be exploring a romantic plotline, with Gilbert (Lucas Jade Zumann) the one she’s going to be pairing with.
The previous entry already set up this arc after Cole (Cory Gruter-Andrew) told Anne that Gilbert is attracted to her. Anne, of course, is skeptical about Cole’s revelation. “Anne With an E” Season 3 is looking to dispel those doubts as the two characters will be pushed closer than ever. Show creator Moira Walley-Beckett already hinted on this regard as well, Digital Spy reported.
“Our beloved Anne will be 16 years old when we return to [Anne With an E Season 3] full of romantic complications, bold adventures, and dramatic discoveries. I will explore important, contemporary themes that I hope will continue to resonate with, and inspire and uplift, our audience,” Walley-Beckett said.
Executive producer Miranda de Pencier is holding a similar sentiment with regards to inspiring audiences to dream and live their lives despite barriers presented by society. Production had already begun in winter last year and “Anne With an E” Season 3 is expected to arrive somewhere in the late parts of 2019.
