A quick scan through the official Twitter page of “Apex Legends” will show people that developers have been pretty busy announcing the release of bug fixes. As of this writing, the latest patch issued by Respawn Entertainment was for the Twitch Prime loot issue.
Many “Apex Legends” players discovered a number of issues and bugs on the free-to-play battle royale video game last week. The title was surprisingly released earlier this month, it is developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by EA.
One of the highlight bugs from last week concerns “Apex Legends” players who are also registered and use Twitch Prime. Respawn Entertainment announced last week that gamers using the platform will receive a free Legendary Omega Point Pathfinder skin plus five Apex Packs.
However, about a day since the freebies were announced, “Apex Legends” players found a bug that was reportedly easy to exploit in order to redeem the said freebies even if they do not meet the requirements. Luckily, less than 24 hours ago, developers announced, “We've pushed a small patch today for PC with a fix for the Twitch Prime Loot exploit on PC.”
Thanks to this patch, rightful players should be able to redeem the perks by linking their “Apex Legends” account to Twitch Prime. Meanwhile, players who did use the exploit and illicitly acquired the Omega Point Pathfinder shall lose the cosmetic item accordingly.
Meanwhile, developers of “Apex Legends” still have a lot to work on especially since the game became extremely popular over the last few weeks. For one, Polygon reported a bug has affected the function of the Peacekeeper shotgun. The weapon is supposed to fire one at a time and in a relatively slower pace. But the bug is causing it to fire all six bullets almost instantly at once. “Apex Legends” is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
