“Apex Legends” Season 2 will bring in new spice into the budding Battle Royale game, introducing a new character, a new gun, and a whole new way to play the game. So here’s what’s been revealed so far.
First up, “Apex Legends” Season 2 will have a new shooter enter King’s Canyon in the form of Wattson, an expert on quantum laser mechanics. She will use this expertise to create force fields in an area to block chokepoints and entrances, Polygon reported.
Thus, she’s best played in closely confined spaces. Dropping in the Bunker or Skull Town may prove beneficial if she can quickly deploy her electric rods and block the way. Combining her with Caustic along with Gibraltar or Lifeline will create a defensive team that would make all of their abilities shine. Aside from Wattson, “Apex Legends” Season 2 will also be introducing the L-Star.
“Titanfall 2” players will immediately recognize this gun as it’s a particular favorite within the game. The gun is a legendary weapon, which means it can only be acquired through Care Packages like the Kraber or the Mastiff. It looks a bit like the Prowler although this one packs more pain and is firing lasers. Finally, “Apex Legends” Season 2 will likely be introducing a new location within King’s Canyon although nothing has been confirmed so far.
But rumors would have it that a flood will herald its coming caused by another character, a legend going by the name of Crypto. According to research done by data miner and Reddit user FrozenFroh, Crypto is of Korean origin that also specializing in advance tech. One of his abilities is supposedly called Jamming, a skill that can disrupt other characters’ talents. While this remains a rumor, for now, FrozenFroh did provide a lot of evidence about his claim ranging from the characters’ look and screenshot from data found within the trailer itself, Dexerto reported. With all these changes coming to “Apex Legends” Season 2, it’s understandable that its player base is excited about its arrival.
Which brings us to its release date. During E3 2019, Respawn Entertainment’s Drew Mccoy revealed that “Apex Legends” Season 2 will arrive on July 2 and will be called Battle Charge. The Battle Pass will likely mirror the cost of the previous entry, which was at $9.50.
