Apple said Oct. 28 that its MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display will reach stores Nov. 6, setting a release date for the new 14- and 16-inch laptop lineup.

Preorders opened Oct. 28 in 30 countries and regions, according to Apple's announcement. The computers have tandem OLED panels and come with either an M5 Pro or M5 Max processor.

U.S. prices start at $2,899 for the 14-inch M5 Pro and $3,399 for the 16-inch model. The 14-inch and 16-inch M5 Max configurations cost $4,499 and $4,799, respectively.

Johny Srouji, Apple's chief hardware officer, described the new MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display as “a monumental step forward for the Mac.” The models add touch controls to the MacBook Pro for the first time, as covered in EconoTimes' earlier report on the touchscreen MacBook Pro.

Separately, Apple’s Oct. 27 announcement introduced a 14-inch M6 MacBook Pro priced from $1,999 in the U.S. The PROLED XDR Display models are scheduled to become available Nov. 6.
