Arabica coffee falls to new 19-month low

Arabica coffee falls to new 19-month low due to renewed depreciation of the Brazilian real.

The Brazilian real fell by as much as 1.7% against the US dollar yesterday, thus recording a new 12-year low. 

This had a negative impact on coffee prices, Arabica shed 2% and closed at a 19-month low of 114.7 US cents per pound, says Commerzbank.
