Hopkinsville, Kentucky, June 29, 2017 -- The U.S. Department of the Army, Army Contracting Command – Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC), 922nd Contracting Battalion at Fort Campbell in Kentucky, released on Thursday, June 29 a solicitation in which it outlined plans to secure demolition services from a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)-certified woman-owned small business (WOSB).
Interested and capable WOSBs must be able to provide all labor, supplies/materials (unless otherwise specified), and necessary equipment to perform building dismantling, demolition, and/or removal of improvements (e.g., steps, piers, and foundation). The contractor who receives the award also must be able to complete associated work, such as utility disassembly, PCB ballast handling/disposal, demolition, filling, backfilling, placement of top soil or gravel, and seeding/mulching.
The Army anticipates awarding a firm fixed-price contract. The North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) for this effort is 238910 - Site Preparation Contractors.
The Army, in its solicitation, also outlined plans to award the contract to the WOSB who responds with a low price technical acceptable offer, pursuant to FAR 13.5.

The contractor who receives this contract also must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database and have as part of the Registration all current Representations and Certifications.
