‘Arrow’ season 5’s episode 17, titled “Kapiushon,” is set to follow Oliver after he is captured by Prometheus. The villain will attempt to break Oliver physically and mentally and will threaten to go after his son.
The synopsis for episode 17 posted on TV Guide reads, “Prometheus (Josh Segarra) goes to great lengths to break Oliver (Stephen Amell). Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Anatoly (David Nykl) becomes worried about Oliver's increasingly violent tendencies, which come to a head in a brutal confrontation.”
Things heat up for Oliver and team Arrow as the threat of Prometheus’ vile plan escalates. In the promo for “Kapiushon,” Oliver is seen locked up in a cell. Adrian Chase then threatens to go after his son to which Oliver vows to go after him.
Adrian tells Oliver coldly, “"Confess your secret, Oliver, and all this ends… You infect every life you touch — even your son." Oliver hisses, “Go to hell.” Adrian replies, “I’ve already been there, Oliver.”
The upcoming episode will follow Adrian as he attempts to mentally and physically break Oliver, who he is keeping locked up in chains. According to Comicbook Movie, Oliver found himself at the mercy of Prometheus after Talia al Ghul (Lexa Doig) quickly took revenge for what he did to her father years ago by betraying him. Talia worked with Prometheus to eventually capture the Emerald Archer.
In the previous episode, titled "Checkmate," team Arrow worked on tracking down Susan Williams, who was held captive in an undisclosed location. Oliver and the team were finally able to locate Susan with the help of Felicity’s (Emily Bett Rickards) allies at Helix but were led to a trap set by Prometheus.
By the end of the episode, Oliver attempted to defeat the villain but just as he was about to gain the upper hand, he was shot from behind by Talia.
Meanwhile, Anatoly will get increasingly concerned about Oliver’s state of being as the latter becomes progressively violent. A confrontation is set to ensue between them.
‘Arrow’ season 5’s episode 17, titled “Kapiushon,” is scheduled to air on The CW on March 22, 2017. It was directed by Kevin Tancharoen and written by Brian Ford Sullivan and Emilio Ortega Aldrich. It will be followed by episode 18, titled "Disbanded," scheduled to be released on March 29 and directed by JJ Makaro.
