‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ season 2’s episode 10, entitled “Second Coming,” is set to feature Ash as he faces Baal in the past. He will have to strike a deal with Baal to rid the world of evil.
The brief synopsis for “Second Coming” posted on IMDB reads, “Ash (Bruce Campbell), Ruby (Lucy Lawless), and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) battle the past to secure a future where Pablo (Ray Santiago) is alive and the world is safe from evil, but the family from hell has other plans.”
The promo for episode 10 featured Ash as he continues to battle the forces of evil in attempts to make things right again. The footage for the incoming episode is rife with gore, jump scares, and grotesque monsters while staying true to its own brand of comedy.
According to Christian Times, Ash may have to face Baal (Joel Tobeck) head on in order to secure a future with Pablo in it. The promo also showed Ash striking a deal with Baal in the past wherein if he wins, Baal will have to take his Deadites back to hell. However, if he loses, Baal can continue tormenting the world with his evil.
The preceding episode, entitled “Home Again,” found Ash toying with the past as he attempts to resurrect Pablo through time travel via an evil Necronomicon powered time portal. Drunk and grief stricken by the loss of his friend, Ash forced Ruby to open the portal by reading the incantations written on Pablo’s skin, according to a recap on Den of Geek. This brought Ash and his companions back to the year 1982.
Ash is desperate to change the present by stopping his younger self from ever procuring the Book of the Dead but this strategy is clearly a mistake. His decision to change what was done could have dire repercussions in the future of the series.
‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ season 2’s episode 10, entitled “Second Coming,” is scheduled to air on Starz on December 11, 2016. It was directed by Rick Jacobson and written by Luke Kalteux.
