Asian markets higher, gold hits fresh 2-week low

All the Asian indices were trading on a higher note on Tuesday. On the other side, gold and silver were trading around 2-week low. Gold hits fresh 2-week low at $1,308 and silver hits fresh 3-week low at $18.69 marks.

Chinese banks will be closed in observance of National Day.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.51 percent higher at 2,054.36 points.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading around 0.64 percent higher at 16,704.24 points.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng was trading 0.03 percent higher at 23,593.24 points.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was trading 0.10 percent lower at 5,473.10 points. Today RBA decided to leave the cash rate unchanged at 1.50 percent.
