Asian markets in red, gold marginally higher in early hours of Asia

Major Asian indices were trading on a lower note on Wednesday. On the other side, gold and silver were trading marginally higher in early hours of Asia. Gold was trading around $1,256 and silver was trading around $17.52 marks.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.09 percent lower at 2,030.36 points.

Tokyo's Nikkei was trading 0.32 percent higher at 16,914.50 points.

Shanghai composite index to open down 0.3 pct at 3,057.32 points and China's CSI300 index to open down 0.2 pct at 3,299.14 points.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng was trading 1.05 percent lower at 23,302.26 points.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was trading 0.27 percent higher at 5,464.10 points.

Taiwan stocks open down 0.2 pct at 9,201.55 points.
