Asian markets mixed, gold stabilizes above $1,220 mark

All the major Asian indices were trading on a mixed note on Tuesday. Gold was trading around $1,227 mark while silver was trading around $16.26 mark.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading 0.13 pct lower at 19,869.50 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 0.36 percent higher at 24,666 points.

Australia’s S&P ASX200 was trading 0.51 percent lower at 5,840 points.

Shanghai composite index to open down 0.5 pct at 3,064.85 points and China's CSI300 index to open down 0.5 pct at 3,342.60 points.

Taiwan’s market was trading 0.20 percent lower at 9,917.93 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.02 percent higher at 9,316.90 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.13 percent higher at 29,966.18 points.
