Asian markets start new week on red note, gold stabilizes below $1,270 mark

All the major Asian indices were trading on a red note on Monday. Gold was trading around $1,267 mark while silver was trading around $17.12 marks.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading 0.53 pct lower at 19,908.50 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 1.14 percent lower at 25,734.25 points.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.99 pct lower at 2,358.51 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.41 percent lower at 9,628.55 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.36 percent lower at 31,148.63 points.

Shanghai composite index to open down 0.3 pct at 3,149.53 points and China's CSI300 index to open down 0.2 pct at 3,570.22 points.

Taiwan stock was trading 0.71 pct lower at 10,127.98 points.

Most Australian banks will be closed in observance of the Queen's birthday.
