We have seen cryptocurrency struggle ever since the U.S. SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) declined the Winklevoss twins’ attempts of launching a bitcoin ETFs.
The US regulatory agency (SEC), has constantly shown its meticulous approach by denying the approval of an application filed by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, the reputed cryptocurrency investors and the founders of cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, to launch an exchange.
But the latest news is that the Winklevoss brothers stated that “they are committed as ever to making an ETF (exchange-traded fund) a reality!” during a recent Ask Me Anything (AMA) on Reddit.
Cameron Winklevoss also hinted that, “Bitcoin is most likely the winner in the long term”at the same AMA.
Well, constructive stance flown from Winklevoss twins as they respond to a question on whether Bitcoin be the leader among cryptocurrencies gamut. Cameron pointed out his positive stance by stating, “Bitcoin is certainly the OG crypto! It’s hard to defeat network effects — so in terms of ‘hard money’ (i.e., store of value).”
According to him, BTC is most likely the triumphant, in the long-term.
While Cameron’s brother Tyler also added that “we trust bitcoin is better at being gold than gold. If we’re right, then over time the market cap of Bitcoin will surpass the 7trillion dollar market cap of gold.”
