Many players have likely completed the “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla” campaign by now, but it appears that many in-game items are yet to be discovered. Players are recently flocking to Northumbria, where a powerful Isu bow was recently found.
‘Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla’ secret weapon found in Northumbria
Fans who got a copy of “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla” might want to return to the game and explore its world once more. Players confirmed that a weapon has been hiding under a pile of shiny rocks all this time. And a video guide has been released by YouTube channel JorRaptor demonstrating a hack to acquire the weapon.
It starts by going to the Eurvicscire in Northumbria and then proceeding to a small island near Brunson Turret. Players will likely easily spot where the weapon is hidden because the pile of rocks is suspiciously sparkling. Only hitting it with any weapon will not do the trick, though. JorRaptor reported that he was able to gather the weapon after doing this trick: hit the rocks several times with any weapon, save the game, and reload it.
The video shows this process was done twice, and the rocks will be automatically destroyed upon reloading the same saved game for the third time. If this process seems like a trick, it’s because it is.
“Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla” narrative director Darby McDevitt replied to JorRaptor’s tweet about the discovered weapon and said, “FYI this is a clever brute force hack, not the ‘proper’ way to get this bow. There is an “in-world” way to achieve it.” When asked if anyone has already acquired the Isu bow the right way, McDevitt only said, “someone almost has.”
What’s the secret ‘Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla’ and why it’s powerful
To make sense of the weapon’s immense power, Kotaku pointed out that the hunter bow, officially named Norden’s Arc, originates from the Isu. The game’s wiki website describes the Isu as an “ancient and highly-advanced species of humanoid beings” that preceded humans on Earth.
The Isu beings are known for creating “powerful artifacts and weapons” called Pieces of Eden. And that could mean more of their weapons and relics are still hidden across the “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla” map.
