AtomVie Global Radiopharma said Thursday, Oct. 15, it had entered a U.S. delivery partnership with Jubilant DraxImage Inc., aiming to help clinical programs reach trial sites as they advance.

Under a Logistics and Regulatory Services Agreement, Jubilant will receive and handle AtomVie-made radiopharmaceuticals, oversee compliance and distribute the products through its U.S. pharmacy network. The companies said the arrangement is intended to streamline shipments to clinical sites while preserving quality and safety safeguards and meeting regulatory standards.

AtomVie, a radiopharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organization based in Hamilton, Ontario, said it and its clients are expected to benefit. The company said the added service could help customers connect with trial locations and adjust operations as development work moves forward.

AtomVie Chief Executive Officer Bruno Paquin said growth in the radiopharmaceutical sector makes dependable logistics important for patients and clinical sites. He described distribution capabilities as “essential.” Jubilant Radiopharma Chief Executive Officer Harsher Singh said the companies share an interest in advancing innovation and widening access to newer radiopharmaceutical treatments.

AtomVie had separately announced U.S. distribution collaborations with RLS Radiopharmacies and UPPI LLC (UPPI) in February 2024. That announcement identified the products’ limited usable life and the need to administer them on schedule as logistical challenges. The Oct. 15 announcement did not describe how the Jubilant agreement relates to those earlier collaborations.

The companies did not disclose the agreement’s value, duration, start date, participating trial sites or expected shipment volumes.
