The excitement around “Attack on Titan” chapter 117 is not surprising. The manga series left a thrilling cliffhanger with the Marleyan army catching Eren by surprise. But the main protagonist has more fighting options in his Titan arsenal including activating the War Hammer.
It is also understandable why many fans would be excited to see Eren using the War Hammer Titan as it is one of most interesting of the Nine Titans. The War Hammer’s main ability is to produce and craft structures or objects from hardened Titan flesh. So the possibilities with the War Hammer are endless as Eren can end up making a weapon huge enough to hurt or knock out his opponent in “Attack on Titan” chapter 117.
Obviously, Eren will first have to face Porco Galliard who was already in the Jaw Titan form before chapter 116 ended. The latter managed to bite off Eren’s entire legs but he was able to avoid getting completely eaten by the Jaw Titan. This means Eren must think fast when the action continues in “Attack on Titan” chapter 117.
They are swarmed by a large number of Marleyan soldiers complete with substantial air support while Porco’s Jaw Titan has already been activated. So Eren activating the War Hammer Titan could be his best shot at this point. If he could quickly equip with an ample set of weapons, he would be to make significant damage on Porco while also attacking many soldiers at once in “Attack on Titan” chapter 117. As mentioned, there are many possible things Eren could do with the War Hammer. But reports suggest that the best option is to be with a pair of swords.
That is just one possible plot in “Attack on Titan” chapter 117. With so many Titan inheritors in the same location and a highly tensed battle waiting to happen, fans could witness multiple Titans showing up in the next installment.
It is also important to note that Reiner is one of the Marleyans attacking Eren in “Attack on Titan” chapter 117. This leads to speculations that the two could have their Titan rematch in the upcoming chapters. “Attack on Titan” chapter 117 is slated to be released on May 9.
