Avantor, Inc. lifted its 2026 organic revenue and free-cash-flow forecasts after third-quarter organic sales rose 5.2%, with management pointing to better execution and stronger end markets.
Net sales for the three months through Sept. 30, 2026, reached $1,698.3 million, up 4.6% from a year earlier. Currency translation reduced reported growth by 0.6 percentage points. Organic sales advanced 5.2%.
The company posted net income of $203.4 million, compared with a net loss of $711.8 million in the third quarter of 2025. The prior-year period included $785 million in impairment charges; the 2026 quarter had none. Adjusted diluted earnings per share was $0.22 in both quarters.
Avantor raised its full-year organic revenue growth guidance to 0.75% to 1.25%, from negative 0.5% to positive 0.5%. The revision moves the forecast from a range that included a contraction to one that is entirely positive. The adjusted diluted EPS range is now $0.81 to $0.83, compared with $0.80 to $0.83. Its free-cash-flow forecast is $525 million to $550 million, up from $500 million to $550 million. The EPS and cash-flow revisions raised the lower bounds while leaving the upper ends unchanged.
Management attributed the stronger outlook to improved execution and stronger end markets. Avantor said lower margin in its VWR segment reflected unfavorable product mix and higher selling, general and administrative expenses, partly offset by higher sales volume.
The company’s Oct. 28 Form 8-K lists results and financial condition under Item 2.02 and financial statements and exhibits under Item 9.01. The filing includes the earnings release as Exhibit 99.1. Avantor scheduled a conference call to discuss the results for 8 a.m. ET Wednesday, Oct. 28.
