The compatibility testing took place at the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J., and verified Scout’s compliance with Avaya’s Aura™ Communication Manager and Aura™ Session Manager applications. Aura Communication Manager is a comprehensive software foundation for real-time voice and video communications; Aura Session Manager is a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) routing core that integrates all SIP devices across an entire enterprise network.
"Ongoing compatibility with Avaya brings comfort to our customers by letting them know that Scout has passed a rigorous series of tests jointly developed by Avaya and Avtec engineers,” said Avtec Director of Partnerships and Alliances Mike Ridge. "Scout integrates land mobile radio, broadband and Avaya telephony resources into one unified communications solution."
Avtec is a member of the Avaya DevConnect program – an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that integrate to Avaya technology. This enables organizations to confidently add new capabilities to their Avaya network without having to replace their existing infrastructure – speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
