The reported loss was in CORE, while B14G said Bitcoin (BTC) staking through its protocol remained unaffected and that it had suspended contract activity in response.
B14G put the amount drained at 97 million CORE. The project said exchanges froze about nine million CORE, roughly 9% of the reported drain.
The drain and freeze figures describe separate parts of the incident: the first is the amount B14G said was taken from the protocol, while the second is the amount exchanges blocked. The frozen total does not establish how much CORE was recovered or the incident’s final net loss.
