The Bank of Japan will bring commercial banks, securities firms and buy-side participants together in December to present survey results and discuss Japanese government bond (JGB) market liquidity and recent developments in financial markets.

The central bank’s 25th round of Bond Market Group meetings is scheduled for Dec. 7-8 at its head office, according to a notice dated Nov. 5. The commercial banks group and securities firms group are scheduled for Dec. 7, followed by the buy-side group on Dec. 8.

The agenda also covers recent developments in market operations. BOJ officials and participants will exchange views on the listed subjects and related matters.

Financial institutions’ bond-market staff are among those expected to attend, including people who take part in the Bond Market Survey. The BOJ participants listed are the Financial Markets Department director-general and the heads of the Coordination and Market Analysis, Market Operations and Market Infrastructure divisions.

The first group meetings are scheduled for Dec. 7, with the buy-side group following the next day.
